Rehab Pro (“the app”) is built and operated by Tommy Roldan. This policy explains what data the app accesses and what happens to it.
The short version: your health data and your profile stay on your iPhone. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours that ever receives them.
Health data
If you grant access, Rehab Pro reads your workout history from Apple Health — including workouts synced into Health by other apps you use, such as Strava or Garmin Connect. This is used only to recommend recovery exercises after a workout. Rehab Pro never writes data to Health, and workout data never leaves your device — it is not sent to any server we operate, and we do not have the ability to see it.
Profile information
During setup you provide a first name, pain level, mobility level, recovery goal, and daily time budget. You may also optionally add a diagnosis in your own words (for example “L5-S1 disc herniation”), any restrictions a doctor or physical therapist gave you, and which direction of movement feels better to you. All of it is stored only on your device (using Apple’s SwiftData framework) and is never transmitted anywhere.
Your records (X-rays, MRIs, documents)
Rehab Pro lets you attach your own medical files — X-ray or MRI photos, PDF reports, physical therapy notes — under Settings > My Records. These are the most sensitive files the app touches, so to be explicit about what happens to them:
- They are saved only in the app’s private storage on your iPhone.
- They are never uploaded, sent to a server of ours, or transmitted anywhere.
- The app does not open, read, interpret, or analyze them. Rehab Pro does not attempt to diagnose anything from an X-ray or scan, and your exercise plan is not derived from these files in any way. They are stored purely so you have them on hand and can show them to your doctor or physical therapist.
- Deleting a record in the app deletes the file from your device.
On-device text recognition and AI
If you choose to scan a doctor’s note, Rehab Pro can read the printed text from that photo using Apple’s Vision framework, and can suggest which restriction checkboxes match it using Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Both run entirely on your iPhone — the image and the text are never sent to us, to Apple, or to any other service. Suggestions are always shown to you for review and are never applied to your plan unless you confirm them.
Video search
To show you exercise demonstration videos, the app sends a search query (the exercise name and your pain level) to one of these third-party providers: YouTube (Google), Vimeo, or Dailymotion. Each provider handles that request under its own privacy policy — we don’t control or see what they do with it beyond the search results they return to the app. No personal profile information (your name, health data) is included in these queries.
Notifications
If you allow it, Rehab Pro sends two kinds of notification: one after it detects a new workout in Health, suggesting recovery exercises, and — only if you switch it on in Settings — a single daily reminder at a time you choose. Both are generated entirely on your device. No push notification server is involved, and nothing about your activity is reported anywhere in order to send them.
What we don’t do
- No account creation or sign-in
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for their own purposes
Data deletion
Deleting the app deletes all data it stored on your device. To revoke Health access at any time, go to Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Rehab Pro on your iPhone.
Children’s privacy
Rehab Pro is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Medical disclaimer
Rehab Pro suggests general exercises based on information you provide. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Consult a doctor or licensed physical therapist about your specific situation.
